Not only on the Internet, in contemporary society, identity is often masked, and individuality is sacrificed in the name of conformity.

Disguise draws inspiration from this phenomenon, where people acts like chameleons, adapt to their surroundings, reflecting the shadows of others. This adaptation, while aiding in societal acceptance, leads to the gradual loss of one's original characteristics and innocence. This piece fused sharp edges and reflective surfaces that symbolising the remnants of authenticity—those fragments of true identity that remain despite societal pressures, while the reflective parts, on the other hand, represent the masks that are worn to blend in, imitating others and obscuring one's uniqueness.

Disguise challenges the wearer/audience to reflect on the delicate balance between self-expression and the compulsion to conform, encouraging contemplation on the cost of losing one's essence in the pursuit of belonging. Through this mask, the tension between the individual and the commune is explored, revealing the complex interplay between authenticity and adaptation nowadays.
