This installation artwork uses the metaphor of “crevices” to explore the individual’s journey through disorientation, fracture, and reconstruction in the search for self and belonging. Fragmented images, resembling scattered shards of memory, flow across translucent mesh, engaging in a delicate dialogue with the dynamic play of projected light and shadow.
This interplay between the static and the moving, the material and the immaterial, not only evokes a sense of perceptual instability but also reflects the layered and multifaceted nature of self-awareness.
The work emphasises that cracks and ruptures are not merely signs of destruction but potential points of hope and renewal. As light pierces through the fractured spaces, it offers a quiet reminder: even in the deepest absence, faint glimmers lie hidden, waiting to be uncovered. By juxtaposing stillness with movement, presence with absence, the piece invites viewers into a contemplative space that meditates on identity, vulnerability, and the ever-evolving meaning of existence.
